"I believe that we are all deeply influenced by the places we spend our time, and that we are nourished by serene, beautiful surroundings. When designing an interior, I strive to create an environment that is tranquil and soothing to the senses, based on soft, evocative color and minimal pattern. Carpet is the foundation of a room, often the first component chosen by a designer. This collection of carpets for Blue Ridge springs from my belief that all components of a room should blend quietly together to form a restful and unified whole. The line is built around the wonderful textured basic, Bouclé Twist. Textures like Fine Line and Diamond Shadow offer a little more interest. Line Dance and Shadow Box are rich looking, tonally colored textures that have the look of custom wool carpets. Open Plan, the largest, most graphic offering, is an architectural look designed for a space that needs a larger scale pattern. The color palette is of soft, evocative shades that are meant to compliment wood, glass, stone, and fabric. The range includes basics such as complex neutrals and rich browns, and offers a slightly more residential palette of dusky lavenders, fresh greens, and soft celadons.
